Recruited by Geolo Capital to lead a full retail launch for its luxury, lifestyle spa resort. AMS worked closely with Interior Design firm Forrest Perkins and Savvy Spas Consulting to create a retail environment that harnessed the unique brand identity while offering products that were tailored to the resort’s activities.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
For the re-launch of one of San Francisco's classic, high profile, luxury retail stores, AMS led product development and design for a new line of branded private label products. Working closely with the CEO on the strategic brand vision to bring this iconic retailer into the 21st century while retaining a strong link to Gumps’ storied past and core brand values.

AMS came on board as an interim project manager, hired by then Pottery Barn President Laura Alber. The role encompassed merchandise assortment planning, price negotiations, product development concepts, and global sourcing.
CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT
As the Project Manager, AMS led the development and management of architect, builder and sub contractors for a $3M remodel, ensuring the seamless execution of design plans, contracts, timeline management, and budgets to keep the project on track and aligned with the clients strategic goals.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Marco Patrizi, owner of I. Patrizi, recruited AMS to be Design and Trend Director for his Italian ceramic company to provide insight into the American market and introduce a fresh updated style. AMS created a more modern approach to designs and glazes, developing new collections, and product extensions to set I. Patrizi apart from other Italian ceramic companies.

Engaged in the launch of the teen niche of the Pottery Barn brands, AMS researched and forecasted emerging trends while developing product concepts for furniture and decorative accessory categories. Recruited and directed technical and fine artists to execute product concepts, AMS managed the global sourcing processes through to market ready products.

With a keen eye for product curation, AMS was brought in to assemble a diverse global assortment of hard goods, soft goods, and culinary items for a new Kitchen Division concept. Staying aligned with the brand’s identity while cultivating strong partnerships with new manufacturers, AMS researched innovative material finishes and emerging technologies to enhance product offerings.
Secondly AMS was asked to conceptualize two collections, one for RH Feminine Baby and RH Masculine Teen.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
AMS was brought on board to research and integrate a new PM platform across the company along with managing the seamless integration of the Oracle Opera Cloud platform across a multitude of luxury properties, ensuring a centralized and efficient data management system.
INTERIOR DESIGN
Hired to revitalize a bathroom to reflect today’s style of modern aesthetics and functional design. AMS incorporated sleek fixtures, contemporary tile patterns, and updated the lighting, to transform the space into a stylish yet practical guest bathroom.
MERCHANDISE MANAGER
AMS successfully managed the $48M tabletop business for five years , driving 20% growth while optimizing margins, developing new business streams, narrowing assortments, and expanding categories. Leading product development of soft and hard goods across global and domestic markets through the product life cycle while strengthening vendor partnerships across the world.

Hired to develop new product collections and update existing programs for long time client Target. Built creative concepts and trend direction for mirrors, wall utility decor and back to college collections.

INTERIOR DESIGN
AMS was brought in to update a 70’s styled entry, living room and dining nook for a Ross family. Modernizing the drive-by appeal, making the fireplace surroundings inviting and creating ambiance in a dining room nook transformed the ordinary into an elevated everyday living.
OPERATIONS PROJECT MANAGEMENT
AMS was hired to develop and implement efficient operational processes within proprietary systems to optimize real estate transactions for the Skall+Glassman team. Managing lead generation, database organization, and the coordination of listings, disclosures, and contracts ensured seamless transitions between stakeholders.
MARKETING | BRAND INTEGRITY
Founder Angie Ting commissioned AMS to launch and advise the marketing and branding of her new organic, sustainable and recycled toy & baby product line. AMS recruited and built a US based sales team, created informational marketing materials, and advised the growing company on product development, assortments, and packaging.

Initially recruited by new CEO Hillary Billings to re-design the gift basket category for the launch of the new Red Envelope brand. The project quickly expanded into creating private label products for the successful growth of a leader in the dot.com retail world.

Interior Designer Margot Oven enlisted AMS to modernize her brand to be reflective of her classic and clean style. A new logo, website and marketing materials were designed to capture the essence of MO Design’s characteristics while showcasing the uniqueness in a industry that is ever changing.

AMS was brought on board by the CEO to instill new creative energy to the brand and to develop more efficient business processes for all departments. AMS worked with the creative and merchandising teams to bring consistency and cohesion to the catalog and retail product lines. The project covered creating product stories, organizing layouts, modernizing fonts, designing new marketing icons & newsletters, and revamping the photography. Brand pillars and values were rewritten and AMS led a top-to-bottom redesign of the website, launched Fall 2014.
